TRANSLATE PRODUCT STRATEGY INTO A SEAMLESS USER EXPERIENCE
DyKnow is a software solution that allows teachers and administrators to monitor students and keep them on task. While at DyKnow, my projects included the creation of brand awareness and product marketing deliverables, a 2D motion graphic video, and user interface designs.
User Experience Design
Shortly after I was hired on, Dyknow introduced a new user persona and admin role, The Tech Coach. This role bridged the gap between teachers and school administrators. The Tech Coach served as both the internal support for teachers and product success analyzer ensuring ROI within their school.
To introduce this new role, I designed product marketing materials and infographics that aligned with our campaign.
Through the analysis of user research, I focused on addressing customers' major pain points by suggesting design changes to Dyknow’s current features. My research found that the key frustrations centered on three design gaps: scheduling blocking plans for specific date and time, applying blocking plans to specific students, and successfully choosing website or applications to block.
To address these issues, I developed a UI framework that allowed users to schedule their blocking plans in advance by applying a date and time. I also changed the student selection options from an auto-complete text box to help teachers see all students in their classroom at one time. Finally, I suggested filtering out the website and application options to ensure users were not entering an address incorrectly.
Sales and Marketing Deliverables
By teaching myself Adobe After Effects, I designed and animated a 2D motion graphic video focused on creating product interest as a sales outreach deliverable.
